HAFELE TRAINING CENTERS

Training forms the basis of growth; and effective training requires the right environment to achieve the best possible results. Häfele India has given crucial importance to training over the last few years with a dedicated Training Division in place to take care of all internal as well as external training requirements. The core objective of this division is to provide ‘focused’ training on different product groups in a state-of-the-art environment that facilitates theoretical as well as practical learning. These training-conducive environments are created within methodically designed Training Centers that are equipped with all the necessary tools and hardware. These centers are strategically located in close proximity to word-working machinery manufacturers who entertain constant footfalls from OEM’s – one of Hafele’s most important customer segments.

Currently, Häfele has two Training Centers in Bangalore and Mumbai respectively. These centers facilitate trainings related to building product awareness, understanding product features and enabling product installations. While the 1200 sq ft Bangalore center has been up and operational since a year now, the Mumbai training center, spread over 1000 sq ft, has been recently established. Häfele prefers to conduct most of its training sessions at these training centers to provide the perfect mix of theoretical product knowledge as well as opportunities for actual implementation. The trainings are held for internal (including Hafele employees, Hafele dealers and Hafele carpenters) as well as external groups.

Häfele is in the process of taking this training initiative to another level with plans to establish such state-of-the-art training centers in different parts of the country with immediate efforts directed towards opening one in Delhi and Kolkata each, by the end of this year. The Training Division has benchmarked the overall performance of the company’s sales force as well as other departments to measure the training competency of these centers and have chalked out an on-going plan to constantly upgrade the equipment and modules to pace up with the industry trends.

Hafele sponsors a special meet for the Rotary Club

In an attempt to salute and support the relentless efforts of the Rotary Club towards Community Service, Hafele India Pvt. Ltd. sponsored a special meet for the Rotary members and their spouses at the Nehru Center, Worli on Sunday, 18th April 2010.

This initiative was undertaken under the close supervision of Hafele’s C.O.O. Mrs. Shanobar Murali who herself happens to be an active member of the Rotary Club of North End Thane and has also earned the auspicious title of “Paul Harris Fellow”. On this occasion, Hafele put up a stall at the Nehru Center displaying some of its product solutions including BLUM kitchen fittings as well as wardrobe fittings and received an overwhelming response with active footfalls.

To bring in an element of fun for the Rotari’ans (wives of the Rotary members), Hafele organized a small entertainment programme performed by the company’s employees. Hafele also introduced a unique ‘musical’ team-building exercise called ’BeatsWork’ organized by the specialists in outdoor exercises and camps, ‘Inme’. Beatswork is an exhilarating teambuilding activity that uses the infectious rhythms of Samba to transform a group of individuals into a giant percussion band – with each person playing their part, in time and on cue. The ‘Inme’ team had all the Rotari’ans grooving to music in no time with all inhibitions shed aside.

The day ended on a thoughtful note with Hafele’s Executive Director, Mr. Murali Subramanian sharing his views on the concept of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in today’s times with all the Rotary members.

THE LAW IS A LIVING GROWTH, NOT A CHANGELESS CODE

We at HAFELE ‘lawfully’ agree! Growth has been an addiction to us since the opening of our subsidiary office in India in 2003. The years that followed have carried a series of events that have put the company on the ‘growth fast track’ within the Indian markets. With a steady acceleration in turnovers, establishment of branch offices and design centers all over the country, building a comprehensive dealer network and franchisee base; the company has strongly rooted itself within the country. On the onset of its eighth year of operations, Häfele rises to yet another prestigious occasion. The company is all set to move into its owned office at Kanjurmarg, Mumbai.  The purchase of this new office represents another major commitment of Häfele to the Indian market. 

With a sprawling area of around 17000 sq ft, the state-of-the-art office houses an auditorium, a recreation center and a gymnasium.  This multi-purpose auditorium holds a seating capacity of about 70 persons and is specially designed to hold regular events, seminars and launches for our internal as well external associates, in a professional environment. Complete with audio-visual facilities, the Hafele auditorium will become the perfect platform to plan, interact and perform.

 No ‘work’ is accomplished without occasional ‘play’. Häfele’s recreation center provides the perfect ambience to unwind between hectic work timelines. Equipped with a television corner, foosball table and carom board, the recreation center will be the perfect place to “sweat out the stress” for all our employees. And for those who would prefer a quiet leisure read between their work schedules, the mini-library corner would be the perfect bet. We also hope to see our employees flock at the cafeteria and gymnasium at every given chance they get. The company has designed the new office with a delicate focus on perfecting the ergonomics thereby creating an environment of motivation and holistic growth.

This spanking new premise was inaugurated in the esteemed presence of two of our Managing Directors from Germany – Mr. Huber and Mr. Bosch, on Thursday, 1st April 2010. Without the support of our parent company in Germany, this dream would not have realized.

Hafele is also in the process of creating a new state-of-the-art Design Center which would be ready by the end of July. Meanwhile, all the facilities will be available to our customers at the existing Design Center.
